I finally, FINALLY went through the New Pathways for Sock Knitters book by Cat Bordhi. The result?
An almost completed Simple Coriolis sock! I just have to work a cuff and cast on the second!
Let me tell you. The heels! Oh the heels!! These are far and away the best heels that I've ever knit... all thanks to the book. Granted, I had to read and re-read the heel section quite a few times to make sure I was doing things right, but the end result was totally worth it!
If you're a sock knitter, especially one who tends to have troubles with heels, this book is totally worth taking a look at.
