In yesterday's comments Walden mentioned that my old knitting method wasn't totally clear. I agree totally that photos are more difficult to understand than videos, but unfortunately the only video capabilities that I have is with my phone - and that is definitely not helpful since the quality is SOOOO bad.
So, I'm going to try again with additional, hopefully better, photos. I hope it helps! (And if not, well... I guess it wasn't meant to be).
Right-hand needle through the front leg of the stitch from behind. (Just like the new way).
BUT! Instead of the right needle being behind the left needle, I would bring the right-hand needle in front of the left needle.
Wrap the working yarn counterclockwise over the right needle. (Just like the new way).
And pull the loop through.
I hope that makes a little bit more sense!! :D
